Are you passionate about Bracebridge? Connected to the local business community, and interested in making a meaningful difference?
The Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce is looking for community-minded business leaders to join our Board of Directors.
Our volunteer Board helps provide the leadership, oversight and strategic direction that supports the Chamber’s work in Advocacy, Connection, Education and Promotion. As a Director, you will have an opportunity to contribute your experience, build valuable relationships and help shape a strong, inclusive and thriving business community.

Being a Board member is an opportunity to have a voice in the issues and initiatives that matter to local businesses.
Directors help the Chamber:
Provide strategic leadership and guidance
Strengthen connections between businesses and the broader community
Support local business opportunities and economic growth
Identify opportunities to improve Chamber programs and operations
Build relationships with members, community partners and stakeholders
Ensure responsible financial and organizational governance
Whether your background is in business development, marketing, finance, tourism, human resources, governance, project management or another area, your experience can bring valuable perspective to the Board.
What Does a Board Member Commit To?
Our Board members are active participants in the Chamber and the local business community.
Applicants should be prepared to:
Serve a two-year term
Attend monthly in-person Board meetings
Attend Chamber signature events and monthly networking events throughout the year
Respond to Chamber staff emails and communications
Actively support and engage with the local business community
Be an ambassador for the Chamber's programs and mission
Contribute to strategic discussions, decision-making and Board initiatives

Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for people who have a strong connection to Bracebridge or Muskoka, are committed to supporting the local business community and are ready to contribute their time, skills and perspective.
Ideal candidates may have experience in areas such as:
Advocacy | Business Development | Community Engagement | Event Planning | Financial Management | Governance | Human Resources | Leadership | Marketing & Communications | Networking & Relationship Building | Project Management | Strategic Planning | Technology & Digital Innovation | Tourism & Hospitality
You do not need to have previous Board experience to bring something valuable to the table. What matters most is a willingness to participate, collaborate and contribute.
Applicants must be current Chamber members or understand that they will need to become a Chamber member if appointed to the Board.
